Behold I stand at the door and knock...

Easter Octave

Fr Paul Chandler

A bonus podcast!

I was not intending to post another podcast until next Sunday (Divine Mercy Sunday) but I offer you this reflection upon Holy Baptism drawing upon a single sentence in one of the Epistle readings from the Mass of Easter Day.
Baptism is crucial to us because this is the way that we belong to Christ so I thought that during the Octave of Easter, which is like Easter Day every day, it might be helpful to spend a few minutes reflecting upon this marvellous sacrament which comes to us from the pierced side of the Lord after he died upon the Cross. There is also a small reflection upon St Paul, who gives us such profound imagery of Holy Baptism in his epistles.
The music is the same as for Easter Sunday - Christus vinci, Christus regnat, Christus imperat.
